AGATEX at Cinte Techtextil China 2026

From 1 to 3 September 2026 AGATEX will be at Cinte Techtextil China 2026 in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Halls E1–E7. Three days on nonwovens – and on the chemistry that decides whether a web wets in half a second or sheds water for ten years.

Cinte Techtextil China 2026: why this show matters to us

Cinte Techtextil China is the Asian daughter show of Techtextil in Frankfurt and covers twelve application areas of modern textile technology. The 2025 edition brought together more than 300 exhibitors from twelve countries and regions across 32,000 m² of exhibition space, with close to 20,000 professional visits. The 2026 edition adds further emphasis on AI, sustainability – and on textile chemicals, including a dedicated Textile Chemicals and Dyes Zone.

That is exactly where we live. We are not coming with a standard range, but with one question: how does your line actually run? Which substrate, which process, which requirement at the end of the chain.

What we want to talk about

LAMBAFIL® – fibre preparation and hydrophilic finishes

Spin finishes and durable or temporary hydrophilic finishes for all common processes: spunbond, meltblown, SMS/SMMS, spunlace, needlepunch, airlaid, thermobonding and carding. Whether topsheet, ADL or wipe – sink time and wetback behaviour do not happen by accident, they come from a formulation matched to the substrate.

LAMBAPHOB® – water repellency without PFAS

Completely PFAS-free, based on natural raw materials and readily biodegradable per OECD 301. In use on crop covers, roofing membranes, geotextiles and outdoor applications. The regulatory pressure is coming – we already have the answer at production scale.

LAMBAFELT® and LAMEX® – antistatics and defoamers

Antistatics for PP, PET and PA nonwovens, plus defoamers developed specifically for the water circuits of spunlace lines. Two unremarkable product groups – until the day they are missing.

CABERTEX® – functional finishes

Halogen-free flame retardancy to FMVSS 302 and ECE R118 for vehicle interiors, antimicrobial finishes, barrier function and oil and chemical resistance – for automotive, medical, filtration and construction.

From sample to line: the AGATEX Innovation Center

Before a formulation goes into production, it runs through our own application technology centre: fibre carding, laboratory foulard, fibre sink time measurement, hygiene nonwoven testing to EDANA (lister, wetback and run-off tests) plus analytics with HPLC, GC, Soxhlet extraction and tensile testing. Bring a sample or a specification – we will turn it into a trial plan that holds up.

Austrian formulation, production in Asia too

AGATEX has been developing and producing chemical auxiliaries for the nonwovens and fibre industry since 1921 – for 105 years from Edt bei Lambach in Upper Austria, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, REACH compliant, and a member of EDANA and CIRFS. Our second production site in Prachinburi, Thailand, significantly shortens lead times and supply routes for customers across Asia.

AGATEX at Yarn Expo Autumn 2026

From 25 to 27 August 2026 AGATEX will be at Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 in the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Three days on fibres, yarns – and the chemistry in between, which decides how quietly a card runs and whether recycled material becomes spinnable at all.

Yarn Expo Autumn 2026: why we are coming to Shanghai

Yarn Expo Autumn is where the Asian fibre and yarn world meets. The previous edition brought together around 580 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions and more than 22,000 visitors. For 2026, over 500 exhibitors from Asia and Europe are expected again – from cotton, wool and flax through man-made fibres to elastic, fancy and biodegradable yarns. The fair is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) together with the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and runs alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, CHIC and PH Value.

We are not coming to hand out a catalogue. We are coming to talk to fibre producers, spinners and recyclers about specific lines: which finish on which polymer, which add-on at which speed, and where in the process the disturbance actually starts.

What we want to talk about

Spin finishes for staple fibre and filament

Our LAMBAFIL® spin finishes are applied directly to the fibre and tuned to the polymer and the downstream process – PP, PET, PLA, PA and bicomponent fibres. Friction, cohesion, filament bundling and static behaviour are not independent variables; they are set together. That is precisely what a formulation is for.

LAMBAFIL® R: making recyclate spinnable

Mechanical textile recycling rarely fails for lack of intent – it fails on fibre length. Tearing shortens the fibres, the short-fibre content rises, dust increases and the card runs rough. LAMBAFIL® R addresses exactly that:

  • increased fibre length, reduced short-fibre content
  • reduction of static charge
  • less dust, improved fibre transport
  • stable carding and yarn spinning processes

If you are running a recycling line or planning one, this is the conversation worth booking a slot for.

Antistatics, hydrophilic finishes, PFAS-free water repellency

LAMBAFELT® antistatics for PP, PET and PA keep the line quiet even under demanding climatic conditions. LAMBAFIL® hydrophilic finishes are available as durable and temporary versions. And LAMBAPHOB®, our water repellent range, is completely PFAS-free, based on natural raw materials and readily biodegradable per OECD 301 – a topic now gaining the same momentum in Asia that it gained in Europe before.

Tested before it reaches production

In the AGATEX Innovation Center we test formulations under application-like conditions: fibre carding, laboratory foulard, fibre sink time measurement, tensile testing, plus HPLC, GC and Soxhlet analytics. What starts as an idea at the booth can be substantiated before a production line has to stop for it.

Austrian formulation, production in Asia too

AGATEX has been developing and producing chemical auxiliaries for the fibre and nonwovens industry since 1921 – for 105 years from Edt bei Lambach in Upper Austria, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and REACH compliant. AGATEX at ‘RIGHT’ HYGIENE 2026 in New Delhi

India is one of the fastest-growing absorbent hygiene markets in the world — and ‘RIGHT’ HYGIENE is where that market meets. We will be there on 8 and 9 September 2026 at Andaz by Hyatt, Aerocity, New Delhi.

Why we are coming

Much of what a diaper, a feminine care pad or an adult incontinence product actually delivers is decided at the fibre and web surface. That is exactly where we work — since 1921, from Edt bei Lambach in Upper Austria, today serving customers in more than 40 countries.

The second reason is Asia. AGATEX is building a second production site in Prachinburi, Thailand. For converters across South and Southeast Asia that means the same formulations, but with short lead times, local availability and a response speed that shipping from Europe cannot match. ‘RIGHT’ HYGIENE is where we want to discuss that with the people it matters to.

The five conference tracks — and where we fit

The programme runs across Markets & Trends, Materials & Innovation, Process & Technology, Consumer Rights and Sustainability. The material side and the sustainability debate matter most to us: requirements for auxiliary chemistry are shifting faster than in the previous decade — PFAS regulation, recycled fibre entering hygiene applications, cost pressure with no tolerance for lower performance.

What we want to talk about in New Delhi

  • Topsheet and ADL: reproducible hydrophilicity with LAMBAFIL® — sink time, strike-through, wetback and run-off, including multiple-insult testing. Permanent or temporary, depending on the product concept.
  • Backsheet, leg cuffs and barrier layers: LAMBAPHOB® is 100% PFAS-free, based on natural raw materials and readily biodegradable to OECD 301. We have been developing PFAS-free alternatives for over a decade — not since the EU restriction debate began.
  • Fibre preparation: LAMBAFIL® spin finishes for PP, PET, PLA, viscose, lyocell and bicomponent fibres — matched to carding, spunbond, needlepunch and spunlace.
  • Process stability: LAMBAFELT® antistatics against fibre fly and machine downtime, LAMEX® defoamers for spunlace water loops and finishing baths.
  • Development instead of a catalogue: at the AGATEX Innovation Center (AIC) in Austria we develop together with the customer — lab carding, lab padder, sink-time measurement and hygiene web testing to EDANA methods. The deliverable is not a test report, it is a formulation that runs on your line.

Who you will meet

Ravi Shindale, Application Technologist Asia, will be on site for both days. He advises converters across Asia at the machine and brings their requirements back into the AIC, where our lab develops the formulation. The path from “this does not work on our line” to a first trial sample is short here — the advantage of a family business with its own laboratory.
