Speaker: DI (FH) Thomas Maier, Head of Application Technology
AGATEX was founded in 1921 as a company for technical gases. Today, as an independent family-owned company headquartered in Edt bei Lambach with production for Asia in Thailand, we develop, produce, and market specialty chemicals and refrigerants for industrial processes.
Thomas Maier shows what this development means for the fiber and nonwovens industry. At the heart of it is our way of working: understanding the requirement, developing the formulation, testing it in analytics and application trials, confirming it in a production trial, and supporting the transition into series production.
The centerpiece of this work is our fully air-conditioned textile application technology center. There, we apply and evaluate chemical preparations on fibers and nonwovens in accordance with the relevant EDANA test standards before moving on to production trials at the customer’s site.
