<h2>Cinte Techtextil China 2026: why this show matters to us</h2>
<p>Cinte Techtextil China is the Asian daughter show of Techtextil in Frankfurt and covers twelve application areas of modern textile technology. The 2025 edition brought together more than 300 exhibitors from twelve countries and regions across 32,000 m&sup2; of exhibition space, with close to 20,000 professional visits. The 2026 edition adds further emphasis on AI, sustainability &ndash; and on textile chemicals, including a dedicated <em>Textile Chemicals and Dyes Zone</em>.</p>
<p>That is exactly where we live. We are not coming with a standard range, but with one question: how does your line actually run? Which substrate, which process, which requirement at the end of the chain.</p>

<h2>What we want to talk about</h2>
<h3>LAMBAFIL&reg; &ndash; fibre preparation and hydrophilic finishes</h3>
<p>Spin finishes and durable or temporary hydrophilic finishes for all common processes: spunbond, meltblown, SMS/SMMS, spunlace, needlepunch, airlaid, thermobonding and carding. Whether topsheet, ADL or wipe &ndash; sink time and wetback behaviour do not happen by accident, they come from a formulation matched to the substrate.</p>
<h3>LAMBAPHOB&reg; &ndash; water repellency without PFAS</h3>
<p>Completely <strong>PFAS-free</strong>, based on natural raw materials and readily biodegradable per OECD 301. In use on crop covers, roofing membranes, geotextiles and outdoor applications. The regulatory pressure is coming &ndash; we already have the answer at production scale.</p>
<h3>LAMBAFELT&reg; and LAMEX&reg; &ndash; antistatics and defoamers</h3>
<p>Antistatics for PP, PET and PA nonwovens, plus defoamers developed specifically for the water circuits of spunlace lines. Two unremarkable product groups &ndash; until the day they are missing.</p>
<h3>CABERTEX&reg; &ndash; functional finishes</h3>
<p>Halogen-free flame retardancy to FMVSS 302 and ECE R118 for vehicle interiors, antimicrobial finishes, barrier function and oil and chemical resistance &ndash; for automotive, medical, filtration and construction.</p>
<h2>From sample to line: the AGATEX Innovation Center</h2>
<p>Before a formulation goes into production, it runs through our own application technology centre: fibre carding, laboratory foulard, fibre sink time measurement, hygiene nonwoven testing to EDANA (lister, wetback and run-off tests) plus analytics with HPLC, GC, Soxhlet extraction and tensile testing. Bring a sample or a specification &ndash; we will turn it into a trial plan that holds up.</p>
<h2>Austrian formulation, production in Asia too</h2>
<p>AGATEX has been developing and producing chemical auxiliaries for the nonwovens and fibre industry since 1921 &ndash; for 105 years from Edt bei Lambach in Upper Austria, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, REACH compliant, and a member of EDANA and CIRFS. Our second production site in Prachinburi, Thailand, significantly shortens lead times and supply routes for customers across Asia.</p>

<h2>Yarn Expo Autumn 2026: why we are coming to Shanghai</h2>
<p>Yarn Expo Autumn is where the Asian fibre and yarn world meets. The previous edition brought together around 580 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions and more than 22,000 visitors. For 2026, over 500 exhibitors from Asia and Europe are expected again &ndash; from cotton, wool and flax through man-made fibres to elastic, fancy and biodegradable yarns. The fair is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) together with the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and runs alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics &ndash; Autumn Edition, CHIC and PH Value.</p>
<p>We are not coming to hand out a catalogue. We are coming to talk to fibre producers, spinners and recyclers about specific lines: which finish on which polymer, which add-on at which speed, and where in the process the disturbance actually starts.</p>

<h3>Spin finishes for staple fibre and filament</h3>
<p>Our <strong>LAMBAFIL&reg;</strong> spin finishes are applied directly to the fibre and tuned to the polymer and the downstream process &ndash; PP, PET, PLA, PA and bicomponent fibres. Friction, cohesion, filament bundling and static behaviour are not independent variables; they are set together. That is precisely what a formulation is for.</p>
<h3>LAMBAFIL&reg; R: making recyclate spinnable</h3>
<p>Mechanical textile recycling rarely fails for lack of intent &ndash; it fails on fibre length. Tearing shortens the fibres, the short-fibre content rises, dust increases and the card runs rough. <strong>LAMBAFIL&reg; R</strong> addresses exactly that:</p>

<h2>Tested before it reaches production</h2>
<p>In the <strong>AGATEX Innovation Center</strong> we test formulations under application-like conditions: fibre carding, laboratory foulard, fibre sink time measurement, tensile testing, plus HPLC, GC and Soxhlet analytics. What starts as an idea at the booth can be substantiated before a production line has to stop for it.</p>

Everything below explains why it&#8217;s true, where the technology currently stands, and what it takes to turn recycled fiber into yarn a mill will actually run.</p>
<h2 class="text-text-100 mt-3 -mb-1 text-[1.125rem] font-bold" data-sourcepos="21:1-21:64;1659-1722">The Untapped Resource: 1 Million Tonnes a Year, and Counting</h2>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" data-sourcepos="23:1-23:460;1724-2183">Germany alone collects roughly <strong>1 million tonnes of used textiles every year</strong>. According to a June 2026 trend report in Melliand Textilberichte (Stegschuster &amp; Cetin), more than half of that volume still ends up in downcycling — think insulation material, wiping cloths, nonwovens — or in thermal recovery, i.e. incineration. Given how resource- and emissions-intensive textile production is, that is a lot of value being destroyed rather than recirculated.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal" data-sourcepos="25:1-25:258;2185-2442">The report&#8217;s core finding is encouraging: <strong>mechanical recycling is technologically ready.</strong> The bottleneck isn&#8217;t the concept — it&#8217;s execution. Specifically, it&#8217;s fiber shortening during the tearing process, and everything that shortening breaks downstream.</p>

<p>During Techtextil in Frankfurt, our colleagues Thomas Maier and Kristian Gavric met with Maria Ström and Roos Mulder from Loop Factory to further strengthen our ongoing collaboration.</p>
<p>The focus of the discussion was clear: how to improve material performance through early and close cooperation. In the fiber and nonwovens industry, the best solutions are rarely developed in isolation — they emerge when different areas of expertise come together at an early stage.</p>
<p>At AGATEX, one principle guides our work:<br />
material performance must prove itself in real production environments.</p>
<p>This means:</p>
<ul>

<li>consistent, reproducible results</li>
<li>long-term stability</li>
</ul>
<p>Together with Loop Factory, we are working along this path — step by step, without shortcuts.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>AGATEX Feinchemie GmbH opens new Innovation Center in Edt bei Lambach</strong></p>
<p><strong>Edt bei Lambach, Austria</strong> – AGATEX Feinchemie GmbH has opened a new Innovation Center at its site in Edt bei Lambach. Following less than one year of construction and an investment in the seven-figure euro range, the new facilities were occupied at the end of last year.</p>
<p>“This investment is a clear commitment to our Austrian site and highlights the importance of research, development and innovation for our company. At the same time, our parallel investments in Thailand strengthen our international presence and allow us to be even closer to our customers in global growth markets,” says <strong>Managing Director Georg Bauer</strong>.</p>
<p>The core of the investment in Edt bei Lambach is the expansion of AGATEX’s research and development capabilities. This includes an upgraded chemical laboratory, a new application technology laboratory designed to simulate real customer processes, as well as additional office and meeting spaces. The application laboratory, in particular, enables product testing under realistic, process-oriented conditions.</p>
<p>“With this investment, we can support our customers even more effectively and significantly reduce development timelines. Developing solutions together with our customers is essential to finding the right answers to complex challenges. Our clear goal is to become the preferred partner of our customers,” adds <strong>Managing Director Nikolaus Bauer-Harnoncourt</strong>.</p>
<p>With the new Innovation Center in Austria and the simultaneous expansion of its international activities – especially in Southeast Asia – AGATEX is setting the course for sustainable growth, technological excellence and closer customer collaboration worldwide.</p>
